A 2016 type of Acura’s bestselling type may seem just like last year’s, yet there’s much going on of which ripped visage. For starters, the MDX crossover gets a latest ZF nine-speed auto transmission. Putting three more cogs makes a larger ratio spread compared to the last model’s six-speed, evidently helping to maintain the MDX’s 290-hp 3.5-liter V-6 in the extra efficient aspects of its power and torque bands. Not that previous year’s 290-hp/six-speed combination would be laggard, although Acura, like every automakers, are searching to boost the EPA rates of the vehicles nonetheless it could. And evidently, Honda’s luxury equip is comfortable offering a nine-speed rather than a continuously adjustable automatic.
